USA Softball of Colorado sanctions two types of tournaments.
Invitational – is a tournament that does not lead to a championship tournament.
Qualifier – is a tournament or competition from which the winner or the winners and other selected teams may advance to higher levels of play and the winning team is awarded a national berth. All teams must submit a roster at check in and No Pick Up Players Allowed.
Our independent tournament directors are all non-profit organizations they offer value and quality events for all levels of competition.
All teams must have a USA Softball current registration.
State Refund Policy
A fee of $75.00 will be charged for NSF checks, or rejection of PayPal payment. A $75.00 fee will be charged for” Stop Payment” checks. Also, NO team will be allowed to play in any USA Softball of Colorado events until all fees are paid.
If a refund is be issued, after a team has registered, a minimum of $75.00 admin fee will be deducted from the refunded amount. This fee is used to offset the cost of the rented fields, equipment, team awards and other associated tournament costs and administration. No refunds will be issued after 60 days or after the current season has concluded. However, a credit toward a future event may be issued.
Weather Cancellation Policies
At USA Softball of Colorado, safety is the most important thing and if any of the threatening weather conditions are present the day of the event, the event may be delayed or canceled. When weather conditions or other physical conditions present a danger to participants, our officials maintain the right to cancel the event. Less threatening conditions may cause alterations of the format to ensure participant, volunteer, and community safety. Such conditions fall under the label “Acts of God,” and will NOT result in a 100% refund of any entry fees or future event credits, since a portion of the funds were already spent in preparation for the event.
Threatening Weather Conditions
The USA Softball of Colorado may be canceled or delayed if any of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm, “Heavy” Rain, other major weather condition.
Start or the Cancellation of the Event
The start of the event may be delayed from the posted start time if any of the above mentioned conditions exist. The event may then be canceled if any of the weather conditions persist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch or Thunderstorm.
Other Extreme Conditions
The start of the event may be delayed from the posted start time if these extreme. Unhealthy air quality due fire, or other pollutions. Due to any Police or Fire emergency in the area.
Authority to Cancel the Event
The Tournament Director, in accordance with the city and or the local law enforcement, has the authority to cancel the event, if threatening conditions force cancellation of the event.
Broadcast of Cancellation
If Event is canceled more than 24 hours prior to the start time: We will notify all coaches by text or email.
If Event is canceled less than 24 hours before start time: We will notify all participants by text email. We will also send a text to all who agreed to receive notification text messages during the registration process.
